IDPH reports 3rd highest COVID-19 daily death count

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported the third highest daily COVID-19 related death-count since the start of the pandemic. 196 new coronavirus related deaths were confirmed, which included 2 residents of LaSalle County, 2 from DeKalb County, and 1 from Bureau County. 11,101 new probable and confirmed cases were reported as well for a total of 823,531 total cases and 13,861 COVID-19 related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
