Less than 5,000 new COVID-19 cases seen statewide

SPRINGFIELD – The IDPH reported 4,699 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the lowest daily case count the state has seen since October. The state health department also confirmed 98 additional deaths, including individuals from Bureau and LaSalle County. In total, Illinois has had a total of 905,069 cases of coronavirus including 15,299 deaths. 4,460 individuals were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19 as of Sunday evening, with 981 in the ICU.
