WASHINGTON DC – The Justice Department announced more arrests have been made of individuals accused of various crimes associated with the January 6th riot in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C., including a man whom the Chicago Sun-Times reports is from LaSalle County. A criminal complaint filed last week identifies 27-year-old Mathew Capsel as a person who allegedly participated in the riot. The FBI affidavit includes video stills from social media purportedly showing Capsel involved in a physical altercation with National Guard Soldiers. He was taken into custody in southern Illinois on Tuesday.
