OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Democratic Party is hosting a public forum with State Representative Lance Yednock this Wednesday regarding police reform legislation. The democrats will discuss the controversial House Bill 3653 via Zoom meeting at 5:30 p.m. The bill seeks to end cash bail, create mechanisms for police accountability and body cameras by 2025. Yednock voted against the bill on January 13th. The event is the first in a 2021 series of informal conversations centered on timely political topics.
