UNDATED – While there has been no short of drought in snowfall over the past month, it hasn’t eased the concern of local farmers for the growing season ahead. According to LaSalle County Farm Bureau President David Isermann the grounds have lacked adequate moisture since June.
More snow is expected to touch down this weekend, but it’s not expected to add much moisture with the grounds being frozen.
According to the United States Drought Monitor’s Thursday report, the southern portion of LaSalle and Livingston counties show to be abnormally dry this time of the season.
