Yard waste services begin this week in Streator

 
STREATOR – Yard waste services will begin in Streator this Thursday. Acceptable items include outdoor waste like grass clippings, small tree branches and brush.  Non-acceptable items include dirt, concrete and rock. At this time, residents are highly encouraged to clear their yards of rubbish, as the city participates in the “Clean-Up Streator” program. City Manager Dave Plyman says the community is making a renewed effort to clean up the city this spring.
