OTTAWA – An investigation is underway after a body was recovered from the Illinois River on Friday. The Ottawa Police Department were called before 10 AM to the east end of Allen Park where a deceased male was discovered. The identity of the individual and further details are expected to be released later Saturday by the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
