USPS mail carrier saves public works employee’s life

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for April 27th:
Edward Bomba was helping direct traffic while his crew was fixing a road on Walnut Street in Seymour, Connecticut when he collapsed with chest pain.
Without hesitating, USPS mail carrier Robert Dillon raced over to Bomba and began performing chest compressions.
“People don’t survive what he went through,” said Edward’s wife, Lisa Bomba.
“I was blue, I was gone,” Edward recalled.
Edward, who is a grandfather, spent three days on a ventilator but is now on the road to recovery. He credits his life to Dillon, who was there at the right moment. He even called Dillon and thanked him.
“To call him and say, ‘Thank you’ was like such an understatement because thank you isn’t even enough,” Lisa said. “I don’t even think he realizes what he did. I mean he literally saved his life.”
