OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa announced that they’ll start funding establishments to provide live music in the streets. According to Commissioner Wayne A. Eichelkraut, Jr., in an effort to encourage residents and visitors to visit establishments in downtown Ottawa, the Special Events Committee is announcing the 2021 Music in the Streets program. The committee will fund up to $500 for an establishment to provide live music in the streets this summer on a Friday or Saturday night. The City will close off the street by the establishment, provide a small stage, garbage cans and picnic tables.
