STREATOR – As the school year wraps up for Streator Township High School, board members reflected on the state of the district and past milestones of the establishment. Streator Township High School was rated commendable with a nearly 80% graduation rate in their annual report card released by the Illinois State Board of Education. Superintendent Dr. Matt Seaton, whose last board meeting was Tuesday, also highlighted the 26 courses added since 2014 as well as the various upgrades throughout the school. Seaton predicts future challenges for the district will be finding foreign language teachers, fiscal stability, and teacher and staff shortage areas.
