A man, fittingly named Nick Good, is a cabbie in Dorset, England. He was about to pick up a customer in Salwayash around midnight when Lynda Wells came running out of her house.
Wells is 71-years-old and cares for her 88-year-old husband, who has advanced Alzheimer’s. He had fallen out of his bed and Wells spent 20 minutes trying to lift him, to no avail.
Wells didn’t even ask for Nick’s name before begging him to help her stabilize her husband, which he did no questions asked. The two managed to connect on social media.
“I am so lucky that Nick just happened to be driving down the road at that very moment and was kind enough to put his face mask on and come inside and help me – it was like an angel appearing,” Wells said.
Wells brought Good a bottle of wine to express her gratitude.
