Location in LaSalle approved for “Empowered Women of Starved Rock” mural

 
LASALLE – Downtown LaSalle will be home to an honorary mural featuring some influential ladies of North Central Illinois. At Tuesday night’s council meeting the city approved the location for North Central Illinois Artwork’s 40-foot removable panel mural of Mary Ellen Evers, Marion Dane Bauers, and Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg. The distinguished woman played eminent roles in the community serving as teachers, doctors, and authors. The Empowered Women of Starved Rock mural will be mounted at 552 First Street in LaSalle.
