Roof collapse in Lee County

AMBOY – A roof on a building in downtown Amboy collapsed Monday night, but no injuries were reported. Around 7:30 PM authorities were called to the 100 Block of Division Street for the incident at a building that once housed a grocery store. Amboy Fire Chief Jeff Bryant said that no one was in the structure at the time. Crews worked to make sure gas and electricity were disconnected from the building. The cause of the collapse was not determined.
