Michigan man finds dozens of bowling balls during home improvement project

MUSKEGON, MI – A man replacing the concrete steps on his home made an unusual discovery during the demolition – over 100 bowling balls.  David Olson began the work early Thursday and started documenting his uncovering of the Brunswick balls on Facebook.  Pictures shared showed the dozens of balls, around 120 in all, packed in sand and gravel inside the steps by his back door of his home in Muskegon.  He contacted the company, who is headquartered nearby, to make sure the old balls were not an environmental hazard.  Olsen says he was told that they are safe and could be dumped in a landfill.

“I am planning to upcycle these baby’s and let their beauty and strength be shown to the world.” said Olsen on Facebook Thursday.
