Oglesby modifies parking restrictions; approves new police union contract

OGLESBY – The Oglesby City Council modified parking restrictions to some streets on Monday. A resolution changed streets originally designated as no parking on both sides to just one side. Portions of Jones Ave, Florence Ave, School Ave, Morris St, Jordan St, Lehigh Ave and Prospect St. Also approved was a motion to agree to a four year agreement with the police union. The contract includes language regarding a 3% yearly raise and 12 hour shifts through April 2025.
