CHICAGO- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced Wednesday that staff of state ran long term care facilities will be required to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Governor noted that those being cared for in those settings are vaccinated at rates above 95%, however, he was disappointed in the staff not taking the initiative to protect those they care for. Employees will be asked to be vaccinated by early October. A statewide order that all long term care facilities wear masks full time goes into effect immediately.
