Authorities investigating death of woman who was searching for lost dog

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Police Department and the LaSalle County Coroner are expected to release details regarding the death of a woman who reportedly was searching for a lost dog on the north side of the city. According to social media posts, the women’s pet Collie escaped on Friday morning into a corn field. More information, including her identity, have not yet been released, and the pet has reportedly not been located.
