Child dies after shooting in Ogle County

POLO – A 23-month-old child has died after what authorities determined was a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Ogle County. Last Thursday the Polo Police Department were called to the 300 block of Franklin Street for a child with a head injury. After an investigation, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department announced that the investigation is ongoing but foul play is not suspected.
