MENDOTA – A pair of yield signs were added to the streets of Mendota after a brief traffic study prompted by a resident concerned about student pedestrian safety. Fourth Ward Alderwoman Vicki Johnson proposed the signs for 5th Ave where it intersects 7th St. The council also approved closing downtown streets for the annual Mendota Christmas event put on by the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce in early December.
