Streator City Council to appoint new member

STREATOR – Streator’s City Council is expected to appoint a person to fill a spot on the council. A special meeting will take place at 7 pm Thursday to discuss the potential candidate or candidates amongst council members and then administered the oath of office to the selected individual. This comes amid the resignation of councilman Joe Scarbeary, as he takes a position as the city’s building inspector.
