FRANKLIN GROVE – The Franklin Creek Conservation Association has announced an upcoming special event to kick off the opening of a new trail to honor the life of a Lee County bookstore owner. The Larry Dunphy Memorial Storybook Trail will officially open on October 17th with children’s nature activities and entertainment. A dedication and celebration of life for Larry Dunphy will begin at 4:00 PM. Children’s activities to include planting seeds, creating bird feeders, scavenger hunts and a reading of the trail’s featured story.
