Hydrant flushing scheduled next week for Mendota

MENDOTA – The annual fire hydrant flushing will begin November 8th in Mendota. Residents should be cautioned that they may see red or rusty colored water at times, and are encouraged to check their water prior to use, including laundry. If laundry staining occurs, they say do not dry the affected clothing, just wash again and apply stain treatment. Flushing will take about 15 days to complete, weather permitting.
