MENDOTA – The museum in Mendota devoted to area history and culture will be celebrating their 25th year. The Hume-Carnegie Museum, located in the old Mendota Library building build in 1904 with funds donated from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Open Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 PM, the museum has exhibits about area native son Wild Bill Hickock and hundreds of artifacts from the early days of the community.
