OGLESBY – Commitment to an ag classroom building and dental lab renovations were part of Illinois Valley Community College board action Thursday. The board committed to matching 20 percent of the $4.4 million needed for the agriculture classroom and lab building. The college is applying for a $3.5 million U.S. Department of Economic Development Administration grant. If approved, IVCC’s obligation would be $885,300. Trustees also approved the over $550,000 bid of Vissering Construction of Streator for the dental lab renovation.
