OTTAWA – The National Weather Service has forecast potentially damaging winds for North Central Illinois Wednesday night into Thursday. Gusts up to 60 mph are predicted, especially in areas north of I-80. The winds out of the southwest are expected to down tree limbs and possibly knock out power. Residents should secure Christmas decorations and use caution on the roadways. Winds should dissipate by Thursday morning.
