Peru Police Department gains new officer, Cops for Cancer fundraiser a major success

 

 
PERU – Peru Police Chief Robert Pyzska commended the community for their support in this year’s Cops for Cancer fundraising event. The event was the first since the COVID-19 pandemic, making history, surpassing its goal, raising close to $160,000 in just two days.

Alec Lindemann, a Peru native was also sworn in as a Peru Police Officer at Monday night’s city council meeting. Lindemann graduated from Illinois Valley Community College and Western Illinois University. His first official day on the Peru force will be April 4th.
