LASALLE – The city of LaSalle is coming closer to starting a much-needed project, replacing the roof of its municipal building. Bids will now go out for the roofing replacement and complete gutter work of the city hall. Finance Director John Duncan says the repairs were a critical requirement to prevent further damage.
The city hall roof could be anywhere from 60-70 years old. Duncan says they plan on using half of a $1.2 million dollar grant awarded to them through The American Rescue Act.
