SPRINGFIELD – The latest USDA crop progress report shows corn and soybeans across the state are in better shape than they were a year ago. Over 70% of the two main crops across the state were surveyed to be in Good to Excellent condition, ahead of the findings from mid-September of 2021. Corn maturity and Soybean leaf drop is trailing behind the five year average ahead of harvest, which should begin soon.
