A 59-year-old man in Toronto tried to rob three different banks in one morning. At 9:47 A.M. on Monday, he allegedly robbed the first bank and then fled on foot. Less than a mile away, he allegedly tried to rob the second bank 23 minutes later. Police were ready when the third robbery attempt happened at 12:25 P.M., approximately two miles from the second bank. He was arrested and is pending multiple charges.
Authorities also believe that he may have been a part of a larger string of thefts earlier in the week. They believe he may have been involved in two other banks and three other financial institution robberies.
