Woman strikes officer with a plastic hat

While on vacation in Florida, and Ohio woman struck an officers in the face with a plastic New Year’s Eve top hat.  Authorities had been called to a St. Petersburg restaurant to investigate an alleged battery.  While police questioned the suspect, who happened to be the husband of the woman, she got upset and threw the plastic hat at the officers face.
She is now awaiting trial for felony battery charges.
