ROCHELLES – The Rochelle Township High School Resource Officer has been selected to be the interim police chief of the community. The Rochelle City Manager made the announcement this week that Officer Pete Pavia will take on the duties following the retirement of Police Chief Eric Higby. Pavia has over twenty-five years of law enforcement experience and holds a degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership.
“The Department’s future looks very bright overall,” said Officer Pete Pavia. “We have a young and eager-to-learn agency that truly understands their roles as public servants.”
