STREATOR – The candidates for public office in Streator took to the podium at The Eastwood Thursday night to make their case to the city for the upcoming April election. Among the questions raised were firefighter and EMT needs in the community, how Streator can improve economically, and how best to combat crime. The two candidates for mayor, incumbent Tara Bedei and challenger Brian Couch both expressed their hope to bring new businesses to the city.
