St. Margaret’s looking to be acquired by “larger health system”

SPRING VALLEY – A “larger health system” could be looking at purchasing St. Margaret’s Hospital – Spring Valley. That’s according to a memo to employees on Tuesday signed by President & CEO Tim Muntz. Muntz explains that they have retained a third party investment group called Juniper Advisory to seek offers for the company. The identity of any interested purchaser was not disclosed. On January 25th of this year St. Margaret’s Peru was temporarily closed after being purchased by parent company SMP Health in 2020.
