3 students, 3 staff members, shooter dead in Nashville school shooting

NASHVILLE — Three students and three staff members from a private Christian school in Nashville are dead after an active shooter event on Monday morning. In a tweet from Metro Nashville PD, the active shooter has been identified as a 28-year-old Nashville woman. The female suspect was killed by police during a confrontation Monday at The Covenant School. The six victims fatally shot by the active shooter are identified as Evelyn Dieckause, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age nine. The staff members are identified as 61-year-old Cynthia Peak and Mike Hill, and 61-year-old Katherine Koonce.
