PERU – The city of Peru is looking for volunteers to help clean up trash around town this season. Officials made comments at Monday’s city council meeting about trash along Route 251 north, Water street and north Peoria street. Mayor Ken Kolowski says state owned areas cannot be cleaned up by the city, but knows progress has been made so far by state workers.
Park Director Adam Thorson says he’s also looking into park equipment for special needs children which will be presented in his parks presentation for this year’s budget.
