Reading Fire announces smoke alarm program

 
READING – The Reading Fire Department has announced they will be launching a Smoke Alarm Program in partnership with Camp I Am Me, the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal, and the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance. Reading Fire Department members will be installing 10-year concealed battery smoke alarms and distributing education materials to residents who sign up. The program is intended for home-owner-occupied dwellings with no smoke alarms or with those that need to be replaced. To sign up, contact the Reading Fire Department.
