ROCKFORD – A 12-year-old girl was struck by gunfire while in bed after a shooting outside her home on Wednesday. Rockford Police say around 2 AM they were called to the residence after the girl received a life-threatening gunshot wound on the head. She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The incident remains under investigation.
