Reading Township voters in favor of tax referendum

READING TWNP – Reading Fire Protection District voters are in favor of a tax referendum. On Tuesday 78% of voters voted yes to a tax referendum for property taxes to pay for ambulance services through the city of Streator. Streator now has its own ambulance services they provide to neighboring districts including Longpoint and Allen townships after discontinuing services with Advanced Medical Transport last year.
