In Florida last Saturday, authorities were on the hunt for a 41-year-old man named Johnny Yates, seeking his arrest on charges of aggravated battery. Acting on a tip that led them to a residence, the police encountered a curious scene. A message on a whiteboard, written in marker, boldly declared, “Johnny Yates does NOT live here!!” Despite this seemingly convincing assertion, the police proceeded with their investigation.
As they observed a person exiting the residence, the officers inquired about Johnny’s whereabouts. The individual informed them that Johnny was inside with other people. When their calls for Johnny to come out went unanswered, the police attempted to smoke him out before ultimately deploying K-9s. These trained dogs successfully located Johnny, who was found hiding in an unconventional spot described as a “modified chest of drawers.” Johnny was apprehended, along with four other individuals present at the house who did not cooperate with the authorities.
