K-9 Bloodhound Saves Young Boy

daily-dose-of-uplift-2

A police dog in North Carolina helped get a lost little boy home after someone spotted him walking down a road all alone this month.  The kid is around six, and couldn’t tell cops where he lived because he’s autistic and non-verbal.

They decided to see if a bloodhound named Remi could do a “reverse K-9 track,” which isn’t done often.  That’s where they work backward and try to figure out where a person WAS instead of where they ARE.

In 15 minutes, Remi found the kid’s house a half-mile away.  It turned out he’d snuck out, and his parents had no idea.
