America’s oldest living person just celebrated another birthday. Elizabeth Francis lives in Houston and turned 115 on Thursday. She was born in 1909, five years before the start of World War One. (She’s the fourth oldest person in the world. #1 is a woman from Spain who’s 117.)
She credits her good health to her faith, and the fact that she’s never smoked. Her advice to young people is don’t be afraid to speak up. She says, “Speak your mind. Don’t hold your tongue.”
