74 and Still Layin’ Eggs

daily-dose-of-uplift-2

The world’s oldest bird just laid an egg at age 74.  Her name is Wisdom.  She’s a Laysan albatross that lives on an island in the Pacific, 1,200 miles northwest of Hawaii.  She was tagged in 1958 and might be even older than 74.

She’s hatched more than 30 chicks in her life with multiple mates.  Her last one was in 2021.  The type of bird she is normally lives 12 to 40 years.
