Crops looking great in August across the state

SPRINGFIELD – The latest USDA Crop Report shows Illinois Corn and Soybeans on track for a great year, with 75% of the corn crop in Good to Excellent Condition. Soybeans trailed slightly, coming in at 70% Good to Excellent Condition. The corn crop is nearly 100% silked, consistent with the five year average. Soybeans are bloomed at 90% with over 60% setting pods.
