Officer investigated for theft within police department

WYANDOTTE, MI — The Wyandotte Police Department is investigating an internal theft within the department.  Seen online in a playful post on social media, the department stated, “Stealing is not only a crime but it is morally wrong too. Some jobs, like that of being a police officer, require you to take an oath prior to starting. Within the officer’s sworn oath is the promise to protect person’s property.”  According to a report, Office Barwig was called out of the break room and when he returned his half eaten lunch was missing.  He witnessed Officer Ice “licking his chops” and accused the officer of stealing the remainder of his lunch.  This isn’t the first time that K-9 officer Ice has been accused of snagging some ones lunch.  It is unsure what disciplinary action Police Dog Ice will be facing, however, the department is considering followers opinions on how to proceed.  Most people are pointing out that the evidence sounds “circumstantial”.
