LASALLE – The Illinois Valley Food Pantry is asking for community support as they prepare for Easter and continue looking for a larger facility. During February, the Pantry provided food nearly 100 more people than the previous year, according to Executive Director Mary Jo Credi. The Pantry is currently making plans for its Easter food basket distribution, scheduled for April 5th, with curbside service from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. They are also searching for a larger headquarters, especially to accommodate additional refrigeration and freezer units. Credi explained that the Pantry recently lost walk-in refrigeration space they had used off-site through an agreement with another agency.
