OTTAWA – The identity of an Ottawa woman who died in an apartment fire has been released, along with the cause of the blaze. The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office says 39-year-old Rendelle Farrell perished from smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide intoxication as a result of the March 15th blaze in the 100 block of West Campbell Street in Ottawa. The investigation by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshall determined that a burner on the stove being left on was the accidental origin of the fire.
