190 new COVID-19 related deaths in Illinois Friday

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported the fourth highest daily coronavirus related death count since the start of the pandemic. 190 deaths were reported throughout the state along with 9,420 new confirmed and probable cases. Of those deaths included individuals in DeKalb, LaSalle, Lee, and Livingston Counties. In total Illinois has reported 14,050 deaths and 832,951 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. As of Thursday evening, 5,141 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19.
