Rescued in the Nick of Time

daily-dose-of-uplift-2

A cop in Southern California is being hailed a hero after saving a kid from an oncoming train last month.  The mom’s SUV got stuck on the tracks, and she was trying to get her two kids out before the train hit.  Deputy Michael Castaneda happened to end up behind her car while driving home from work.

He ran in and scooped up one of her kids just four seconds before the train hit.  And the mom got her other kid out with less than a SECOND to spare.  The SUV got nailed, but everyone’s okay.
