From Superfan to Engaged

daily-dose-of-uplift-2

A guy from Buffalo is in the news after proposing to his girlfriend, who’s a Taylor Swift superfan.  People online are saying he totally nailed it.  35-year-old Mike Cheff and 29-year-old Caeli Mitchell have been following Taylor on tour off-and-on for the past year.  They only scored tickets to a show in Pittsburgh, but also partied outside venues in other cities to listen in.  They managed to get tickets to their second show in Toronto on Friday, and that’s where Mike popped the question.  He waited for the song “Love Story”, and handed her a friendship bracelet that said, “Will you marry me?”  Then he got down on one knee with a ring right when Taylor sang “marry me, Juliet.”  Caeli says she had a feeling he might propose at the show, but was still shocked.  She thought he’d pick the song “Lover”, and was disappointed when that one played and nothing happened.
