Bureau County Seeks Grant to Update Disaster Response

PRINCETON – The North Central Illinois Council of Governments is applying for a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to update Bureau County’s pre-natural disaster plan. The Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant through the Illinois Emergency Management Agency would fund an update the Bureau County Hazards Mitigation Plan. Bureau County will fund 25% of the $20,000 grant to fund plans and projects related to reducing the overall risk to local communities in natural disasters.
